Who needs laying down to sleep?

The past few weeks have been in over drive for developmental changes. Nights have been slightly less fun, as you fight sleep because there are so many other interesting things to do, such as sitting up until you fall asleep in a seated position. I watched you the other night for at least an hour, as you fought sleep and eventually closed your eyes and slept sitting up until your body crashed forward.

We are in full-blown separation anxiety stage, as you never want to leave my side and you cry if I step out of your sight for even a second. Today at daycare was the first time you cried when I dropped you off. It made me sad, but luckily your daycare is awesome and it has observation windows where I can watch to see you calm down. Within seconds you were fine and stealing the other kids toys. It definitely helped me feel less sad about leaving you.

Mommy starts school back in a couple of weeks and I am feeling genuinely nervous about completing my classes and making time for you, work and daddy. Here's to enjoying our last few free weeks together until 2012!
