Hi E,
I finally had time to write. I have been thinking about doing so for weeks because you are changing so rapidly. For the past few weeks you have been hugging tightly and really understanding how great it is to snuggle. You went through a "mine" stage, but now you are starting to share and say my turn, your turn. I have to admit, I didn't mind too much when you would point at me and say "My mama". The other night you were crying at about midnight, which isn't usual for you anymore. So I got up to check on you. We laid down in the guest bed and you looked over at me and just smiled. I asked if you wanted to snuggle and you said yes, so I placed you on my chest and we cuddled. It was a special moment and I was thankful you woke me up. Though you are sweet as can be, you have definitely learned how to fake cry and attempt to control us by crying or throwing fits. I am working on teaching you that this won't work. You are nice and stubborn like daddy.
You are interested in singing songs and counting numbers and you really love ring around the rosey. You have finally began to let me cut your finger nails without a huge battle and are finally needing a comb in your hair daily, as it is finally long enough to brush. Perhaps what I am most excited to write about is how close I am to being finished with school. Only a few more short weeks and we can spend unlimited time together. I am thankful everyday for the opportunities I have had and how those opportunities will equate to a better future for you. I am thankful you will see me as a strong woman who was able to accomplish much with you in my life and you will feel encouraged to do the same. I need to go to bed, so I will stop here. Just know how much you are adored and loved. We just can't get enough of you!
Love mom and dad
