Signs of love

Six months is just days away and I have to say this has been my favorite stage, yet. Everything is new and exciting to E, as she really begins to take in her world. I get to experience deep belly laughs, smiles and inquisitiveness from her daily. However, her latest development takes the cake. She has now learned to pat my back when I hold her and I know it is her little way of saying mommy, I love you, too. It was unforgettable when it first happened. I picked her up out of her crib the other morning and felt her tiny little hand put my back a few times, mimicking the way I always give her a loving pat. Such a simple gesture means so much. I love this little girl more than I knew my heart could expand.
