Wow, so much is changing so fast, it's hard to keep up. E turns 6 months on Wednesday and it is awesome watching how much she has grown developmentally. She is totally in love with scratching things with her fingers. And she loves shoving anything into her mouth. I was pretty psyched when I saw her get her binky in her mouth in the car today! She is sitting very well on her own now, for quite a long time and she pushes straight up on her arms during tummy time. It's fun seeing her body get stronger. She's been fussier than usual lately so I peeked at her teeth after her bath tonight, and sure enough, she has a fleck of a tooth peeking through in the back left part of her mouth. I can't believe it, those are supposed to be some of the last teeth to come in. We'll see how it goes, but teething stinks so far.
I also had to give formula a try tonight. I swear it was like watching her drink alcohol. It was so foreign to me, but she did fine! Didn't act like she even noticed the difference. It's relieving to know that she will try it if my supply runs low. Hopefully I can hang in there with breast feeding. I am very happy I made it 6 months, regardless of what I decide to do in the future.
Six months is by far the highlight of being a mom so far. She stares at me anytime I am within her line of sight and smiles so big when I acknowledge her. It warms my heart to know how much my attention means to someone. So I spent my entire weekend making sure she knew how much of my attention she has 24/7. We had a great weekend cuddling, playing, laughing, singing and reading. She is finally really into books. I will wrap it up, but we had a great weekend. Makes me sad to go to work...
